  One of the previous reviews is incorrect. HAB IS a Baptist Church. It is a member of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. The CBF was started in 1991 when a large number of progressive leaning Baptist churches left the Southern Baptist Convention during a resurgence in conservatism and political appropriation of religion. CBF currently has over 1900 partner churches.
  
  The CBF has four core values:
  
  Soul freedom - The ability of all people to relate directly with God. The belief in the priesthood of all believers is an important basis for this principle.
  Bible freedom - The principle of recognizing the authority of Scripture and the right of every Christian to interpret it as the Holy Spirit directs.
  Church freedom - The idea that every local church is autonomous and empowered to choose its own leaders and direct its own affairs.
  Religious freedom - The principle of separation of church and state. CBF supports this principle through affiliation with the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty.
