  This place is a gem! It's been open for 20+ years and rated top ten best Italian food in Jax. I cannot disagree. Rolls are hand made fresh, crusty on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. Great wine selection. Everything is freshly prepared when you order. Nothing is pre-made, so it's extremely hot and flavorful when it hits your table. All ingredients are so fresh you can taste the difference. We had appetizers, entrees and dessert. I am floored. I took pictures of everything.
  
  Prices are reasonable for the high quality and service is very good and knowledgeable. Our server had an Italian accent and could explain the Italian origin of the grapes in the wine we were selecting. Owner was on site and also spent time with us reviewing wines and giving recommendations. Don't hesitate and miss out on Sorrento! It will not disappoint!
